This dense urban housing proposal offers a semi-public plaza to the street. Precise site massing mediates between opposing geometries of adjacent built form and open space. A central circulation spine is defined through an expressive ‘origami’ entry canopy that folds beneath gallery buildings and leads the eye deep into the site. Two white pre-cast forms ‘bookend’ the site. A playful burst of colour is expressed within their ‘carved’ balconies.
