Exhibition design was a collaboration between John de Manincor and Jason Grant (Inkahoots) with the bold exhibition identity devloped by Jason and his team. Their “Open Morph” was a world first for open sourced graphic identity. See Open Morph in operation here.
A major part of the exhibition was work developed by Master of Architecture Students in a research studio entitled “Inside Open Source” led by John de Manincor. The studio is undertaking a critically investigated open source design processes and outputs with a specific focus on architecture and the built environment. Design propositions for sites in inner city Brisbane were included in the Burst Open through drawings, text, models and a large scale prototype of one proposal - the UQiki House.
