PROJECT: Turraburra, Masterplan and Concept Design .
LOCATION: Iningai Country (Barcaldine, Central West Queensland)

CLIENT: YACHATDAC; Yumbangku Aboriginal Cultural Heritage and Tourism Development Aboriginal Corporation.
COLLABORATORS: YACHATDAC, Phyre Design.

In 2020, working at The University of Queensland's School of Architecture we collaborated with YACHATDAC to develop a masterplan for a 9,000 ha former cattle station on Iningai Country, north-east of Barcaldine in Central Western Queensland. YACHATDAC's vision includes restoration and preservation of significant paintings, etchings and petroglyphs, regeneration of degraded pastural land, growing native food, the construction of tourist accomodation and a "Cultural Keeping Place".
